I used to dread it when my neighbor came across the yard. I knew he'd want to talk about religion, mostly his own. Ordinarily, I loved to talk about God, but he seemed intent on emphasizing our differences. Our conversations always turned into debates.
But all that changed one day. As I put on my yard gloves to go outside, I noticed some birds perched in the sunlight around our birdbath. This reminded me of the first lines of one of my favorite hymns, "Love" by Mary Baker Eddy:

'Neath which our spirits blend
Like brother birds, that soar and sing,
And on the same branch bend.Christian Science Hymnal, No. 30 .
