In 1890, Sunday School children began raising money to furnish the special "Mother's Room" in The Mother Church. Their generosity and entrepreneurial spirit deeply touched a mother's and Leader's heart. In a note of thanks to Maurine Campbell, their "den mother," Mary Baker Eddy wrote:
To the Sabbath School Children....
Do you know how much I love you? Do you know that God loves you? Do you know that all the ways of loveliness merit affection?
