Across the world, 153 local Committees on Publication all work under the direction of the office of the Manager of the Committees on Publication in Boston. These offices, located in 49 countries on six continents, are supported by more than 1,500 Assistant Committees. Since 1999, a Committee with a team of Assistants has been covering the worldwide Internet (see sideber, p. 26). The languages Committees and Assistants speak include, among others, Annang, Danish, Efik, English, Fanti, Finnish, French, Ga, German, Greek, Hindi, lluko, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kikongo, Kikuyu, Lingala, Nyanja, portuguese, Punjabi, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish.
Along with this worldwide activity, a District Manager of Committees on Publication serves the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, and a Federal Office in Washington, DC, works with the US government. There are also Federal Representatives in Canada and Australia, and a European Representative in Brussels working with the European Union Institutions, including the European Commission, parliament, and Council.
