From the September 2006 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When Mark Swinney saw how frequently physicists now question the long-accepted concept that creation started with the atom, he had questions of his own. Something else causes us to exist, he reasoned. If it's not matter, the creative power must be a form of "nonmatter." A Christian Science practitioner and teacher from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mark tells about the scientific conclusions he has reached regarding the spiritual nature of creation.

Christian Science practitioner and teacher Geoffrey Barratt shuttles between New York City and Sydney, Australia, several times a year (he teaches Primary class in Sydney), but he still finds time to pen articles for the Journal on a regular basis. A former editor of the Christian Science periodicals, Geoffrey reflects this month on the metaphysical basis for experiencing inner peace—a peace as continuously available as God, who could not be closer.
