LOVE ON THE JOB

From the October 2007 issue of The Christian Science Journal

People throughout the world long to see the positive impact their prayers have on humanity. When the Berlin wall fell, accounts abounded of people around the globe who had been praying to see the end to that human suffering and bondage. The same has been true for various other events or conditions. In fact, this magazine and its sister publication the Christian Science Sentinel often illustrate, in first person, how individuals pray for humanity— about everything from the atrocities in Darfur to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and beyond, from homelessness or mental illness to poverty and AIDS, and to government and corporate corruption.

When people are treated as though they matter, their good qualities surface.
