ONE SATURDAY many years ago, when I had barely stuck my toe into Christianity and Christian Science, I was rushing around getting ready to go to a Christian Science lecture when my foot hit the corner of a metal tool box. The pain stopped me in my tracks.
I didn't really understand Christian Science or know how to pray for myself at that point, but I had faith in God and in the healing power of Christian Science. So I simply turned to God and trusted in His care for me.
I was still in pain, so I finished getting ready slowly because my foot was swollen and I was limping. Though delayed, a friend and I made it to the lecture, and he let me lean on him for support to walk.
