Annual Meeting 2013

Small seeds … vital growth: A Church rooted in healing

From the September 2013 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Annual Meeting 2013 was the first one held entirely online. According to the Church Manual, “No other than its officers are required to be present” (p. 56), yet via the Internet those who attended were in the cyberspace presence not only of the officers but of Christian Scientists from around the world. Several video reports from the Field added even more color and dimension to the meeting.

Current chairman of the Christian Science Board of Directors, Lyle Young, opened the meeting. With him were the other Board members: Robin Hoagland, Michael Pabst, Margaret Rogers, and Nathan Talbot, who also serves as the Clerk of The Mother Church.
