Nobel physicist Albert Einstein advised: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created them.” He urged a new way of thinking.
Early in the 20th century a profound thinker, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, observed, “Divinity alone solves the problem of humanity …” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 306). In her seminal work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mrs. Eddy explained the spiritual truths Christ Jesus taught and proved, a way of thinking based not on materiality but on spiritual reality, which had been revealed to her through a spiritual sense of the Scriptures. This was a radically different view that not only led her to a profound understanding of the infinite nature of Life, God, but also resulted in the restoration of her health and many healings of others as well.
The Science of Christ she discovered explains that for our experience to change, our thinking needs to change. It focuses not on modifying human thought but on a change in the basis of thought from life in matter to spiritual reasoning that recognizes life as the reflection of God, Spirit.
