Letters

From the March 2015 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In deep appreciation for Barbara Cook Spencer’s article: “The importance, value, and power of one (January 2015 Journal), I can testify to the great need to value what each of us has to share. We are a precious facet of one stupendous whole. At a point in my life, under great pressure and overwhelming depression, I saw no way out of the challenges that had engulfed me. On my mental prayer knees I was desperate for answers.... I began to see the light, my need to value who I was, right then, that I was greatly valued and cherished by God. No person, me included, could be without the great opportunity to share God’s love, His light, His deep gentle care. Individual specialness, as the article expressed, was better understood. I discovered that without me part of God would go unexpressed, and that I have an individual oneness with God to be uniquely expressed. It was a great discovery. I had forgotten this transforming moment in my life until I read Barbara’s article.
