A number of years ago I had a wonderful healing that resulted from thinking about one of my favorite Bible passages. I was an attorney, running around in high heels and arguing cases in several different courts, when I suddenly found it very difficult to walk because of a painful corn that had developed on the outside of my foot. I had too much work to let it stop me, so I began walking more on the inside of my foot.
In spite of many healings I’d had through prayer alone, I had not taken the time to turn to God because I had accepted the false belief that my busy schedule did not leave enough time for God and prayer. Wrong!
By the end of the week I could barely make it home, because now there was also a blister on the inside of my foot. So I finally did what I should have done from the beginning, and every morning. I grabbed my Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and went to the living room to pray. But as I went down the carpeted stairs, I slipped and fell with all my weight on the same foot. Now it was even more painful. “Left side, right side, top side!” my foot seemed to be screaming.
