This is a lesson about an ear, a toe, and the unopposable power of Love.
Divine Love is the impetus that renders divine Truth effective—universally, impartially, instantaneously. Love is the source and agent of healing. Love is the “how” and “why” to Truth’s unfailing “what” and “when.” A heartfelt yearning to better understand God as Love removes a feeling of abstraction about God and brings to us a grasp of Love’s boldness and unassailable spiritual power.
Many are familiar with the often displayed quotation credited to the disciple John, “God is [L]ove” (I John 4:8). John proceeds to affirm the practical reality of the power of perfect Love to cast out fear (see I John 4:18). And perhaps we have heard reports of healing, or experienced our own, in which perfect Love casting out fear was a key element of feeling and experiencing Love’s regenerative influence.
