Christian Science Sunday School is a wonderful learning experience—for both teacher and pupils. Each class is a joyful opportunity to ask and answer questions about the Bible and the teachings of Christian Science, and to share insights on putting what has been learned into practice.
Usually it’s clear when the students have enjoyed the discussion, but sometimes I’ve wondered if the class was as good as it could have been. I’ve asked myself, Did it do enough to help change a life? Will the students continue to practice what they’ve learned?
The sense that Sunday School teaching is a personal responsibility begins to dissolve as I ponder what it means to be a law to oneself and not to others.
