I love the Wednesday evening testimony meeting at my branch Church of Christ, Scientist. This is a time set aside to show proof of the Science of Christ. It provides an opportunity to realize that Christ, Truth, heals here and now, even as it did through Jesus.
The Comforter promised by the Master is palpably present at these testimony meetings as the congregation listens to the readings prepared by the Reader from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Then members of the congregation hear from one another how Christ, Truth, has been an active, transforming presence in their lives.
The testimony meeting provides an opportunity to realize that Christ heals here and now.
