As you know, the Christian Science Sentinel will be changing quite a bit in the new year—both in print and online. Details will be spelled out in upcoming issues. But even without knowing the specifics, there’s every reason to be happy and expectant about what lies ahead. Why? Because the redesigned Sentinel will be even better suited to fulfill its timeless mission in this age, lifting readers to view the world from the watchful, spiritual perspective exemplified in Christ Jesus’ practical, healing Christianity.
Among Jesus’ final words to his disciples in the Gospel of Mark are “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (16:15). Mary Baker Eddy took up this call and followed it so fully, relaying her discovery of the Science of Christ, Truth, through healing and through every publishing means available to her. But she clearly knew that more would be needed. She wrote: “It will never do to be behind the times in things most essential, which proceed from the standard of right that regulates human destiny. . . .
