For a year I had been studying for a degree in business administration in Havana, and it was time to deliver my final thesis, an essay. I had spent some months preparing. When I gave it to my tutor, I was informed that it had too many mistakes. There was only one week left to turn it in, and my teacher told me that I did not have time because I had to go back to square one and completely redo it. My tutor advised me to join another team of students who had already finished their theses so I’d be able to continue moving forward with the group and finish my other projects, and at least I wouldn’t lose the year. All this information was very disconcerting and very sad to me because I had poured all my efforts into this study, and what was happening to me seemed very unfair.
When I got home, I calmed down and started to pray to God about my situation. I remembered everything my mom, a Christian Science practitioner, had taught me about God from her study of Christian Science; for instance, that God is divine Mind and is the reliable source of intelligence for everyone.
