Bob Cochran, “Prayer: What’s it all about?” Journal, April 2024
Two years ago it was pointed out to me that both Daniel and Mary Baker Eddy stopped three times a day to pray. My inspired response was to join them in that activity, and this interview has been a wonderful boost to that discipline. One takeaway is his statement, “The more we can keep our thoughts in a place of prayer, the less we’re impressed when something happens.” It reminds me of the quote attributed to the 19th-century English preacher Charles Spurgeon: “A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.”
