The desire to improve the practice of Christian Science healing, to master the claims of sickness and sin through the Science of Christ, is at the heart of every Christian Scientist's life. Therefore alertness to whatever would claim to retard our progress in this direction is important.

A new advertising vehicle is available for those who need to direct their employment opportunities, accommodation information, products, or services primarily to students of Christian Science. A "Special Services" advertising bulletin will be inserted—every other week—into the mailing pouch in which the Christian Science Sentinel is sent to subscribers.

The account is a sad commentary on the lengths to which some individuals were willing to go in the effort to stop a young religious movement that seemed to them to threaten established tradition.

Use of the Tenets of The Mother Church by branch churches and societies Branch churches and societies have the privilege of reprinting the Tenets of The Mother Church in their bylaws and on application forms. Some may prefer to make reference to the Tenets as they appear on page 497 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy instead, thus turning the reader directly to the textbook and to the context in which the Tenets appear.
