Annual Meeting Reports
As the reflecting pool glimmered at the Christian Science Plaza on the second day of June, hundreds of people made their way inside the extension of The Mother Church for Annual Meeting 2008. Though they had to leave the sunshine outside, attendees from such disparate places as Boston, Cuba, Korea, and South Africa found just what they came for—the spiritual sunshine of simplicity.
ON MONDAY MORNING, JUNE 4, Mother Church members from all over the globe gathered in Boston for Annual Meeting 2007. Hugs and happy faces abounded as friends joyously greeted friends—way outshining the drizzle-to-rain-drenched day.
ON MONDAY, JUNE 5, 2006, Christian Scientists around the globe from Africa to Australia gathered in Boston at The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for its 111th Annual Meeting. Thousands of other Christian Scientists around the world joined the meeting via Internet, from homes, Internet cafes, and Christian Science Reading Rooms and churches, to hear about the vital role of Christian healing in the Church.
