What a joyous, momentous year the bells of 1966 rang in! It was the centennial of our beloved Leader's discovery of the age-old Truth which the prophets dimly apprehended. This Truth, illuminated in all its healing, redemptive power through the advent of Christ Jesus, has finally been made practical and demonstrable in this age through Mary Baker Eddy's founding of Christian Science.

Earthly experience is not all sunshine; it includes shadows. The sunshine of human happiness and prosperity, of human health and affection, is variable, interrupted by shadows of doubt and disappointment, discord and discontent.
