In what has come to be known as the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said ( Matt. 7:13, 14 ), "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We learn in Christian Science always to have full faith in the omnipotence of God, good, and to realize the consequent utter absence of power, presence, or reality in His seeming opposite—evil, error, disease, discord, death. The student of Christian Science, therefore, when confronted with any manifestation of the "adversary," described by Peter as the devil, who walks about as "a roaring lion" ( I Pet.

    Truth is attractive. It needs only to be loved sincerely and presented confidently to make its appeal.
