Do Christian Scientists favor a good education? Most certainly they do! Do Christian Scientists consider it important to enlarge the human intellect? Yes, by eliminating from thought the false concepts of material sense and emphasizing the facts presented by spiritual sense. In everyday human affairs a good intellect is as needful as are the virtues of charity, temperance, fortitude, and morality.

An alert Christian Scientist is not confused by diversified phases of advertising which attempt to persuade people to accept various forms of matter as remedial agents. He recognizes that if he gives power to anything, he is in belief making a god of it.

We glimpse the power of the mighty Ego, which is God, Spirit, when we think of the parting of the water of the Red Sea and of Christ Jesus instantly stilling the storm on the Sea of Galilee. We glimpse the loving nature of the Ego when we think of the love manifested by the Master.

Today scientists who deal with various materials make experiments in tensions and pressures, stresses and strains. Many of the products with which we are familiar are graded according to tests that indicate degrees of strength and endurance under use.
