When one makes the statement, "I am a Christian Scientist," he issues to himself the most challenging call in present experience. To demonstrate scientifically the presence and power of the Christ, the divine manifestation of God, is the most revolutionary and at the same time most healing factor in human experience.

It is natural to have a desire for good, and since God is good, is this not really a desire to do God's will? Much of humanity has an innate sense of a will higher than its own, one wholly good, wholly separate and apart from the utterly unreliable, unpredictable force called the human will. However, unless one knows what God's will is and how to avail himself of it, he is quite likely to become thwarted and frustrated by the various eccentricities and demands of the human will.
How many mortals realize that God's law is a divine energy inexorably grinding to dust, nothingness, the vast range of material beliefs that have afflicted mankind? Some may say, "can this be true when we see around us calamity, sickness, and the constant threat of world upheaval?" The divine energy is ever at work, wearing away the adamant of material belief and its lies of sin, disease, discord, and death, thus lifting humanity into higher realms of thought and action. Through the practice of Christian Science innumerable people have been blessed by the scientific application of God's law, have learned a better way of life, and have found relief from misery, doubt and fear, sickness and poverty.
Blessedness is the natural state of man; it is the result of man's oneness, or unity, with God, good; it is holiness reflected from divine Mind. Personal condemnation amounts to a declaration of the existence of evil and a denial of God, good, as One and All-in-all.
Christian Scientists are privileged to see man as he really is, the perfect expression of divine Mind. Man is spiritual, not material.
In the Holy Bible we may read one of God's promises to His children ( Jer. 3:15 ): "I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
