DO we remember often enough that God always has available for man every treasure of good? Sometimes when the darkness of materiality seems very real to us, we are tempted to believe that lack, unhappiness, and sickness are real and natural, and that good is unnatural and miraculous. The fact is that the infinite vastness of God's goodness is ever available to all. Through the study and consistent application of the truths set forth in the Bible and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we find the key which unlocks the door to these unlimited treasures of good.
Through Christian Science, men are feeling the power of God and learning to demonstrate the goodness of His power. They are gaining the understanding that man's only real existence is spiritual and that it includes the actualities of health, abundance, happiness, companionship, and harmony. Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 265). "Man understands spiritual existence in proportion as his treasures of Truth and Love are enlarged." And after stating that mortals must gain a clearer sense of the infinite, she adds, "This scientific sense of being, forsaking matter for Spirit, by no means suggests man's absorption into Deity and the loss of his identity, but confers upon man enlarged individuality, a wider sphere of thought and action, a more expansive love, a higher and more permanent peace."
It is necessary for us to know that the good which God provides fills the universe and is ever available to us. We must accept and use this supply. We can rest assured that it is possible here and now to benefit from the great wealth of God's kingdom. We must never lose sight of the basic fact of Christian Science that God is Principle, Love; that He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. He is our Father-Mother God, who loves each one of us. He constantly gives to all every good thing.
