An Overflowing Heart

From the May 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Oh, may each heart with joy now overflow
With happiness that comes from sharing good.
Gladness to see another find the way—
A smile of gratitude, a song of praise.

And may each heart with courage overflow.
With confidence and steadfast trust in God.
That each may help a brother, should he need
A word of truth to strengthen his resolve.

And may each heart with unselfed love o'erflow
With quiet compassion. Christlike and sincere,
With love reflecting Love, the gift from God
That solves all problems, wipes away all fear.

May we go forth with overflowing heart—
Not just enough, but of Love's fullness take—
That we may humbly share this offering pure
Of joy, of courage, and of love divine.
