One of the first lessons one learns in turning to Christian Science is how to rely upon God, divine Mind, the one and only Physician, who heals all sorrow, despair, helplessness, sin, and disease. This Science helps us to understand that harmony is real and discord unreal.

Humanity in general is prone to wait for salvation from its many woes through what is vaguely termed "the afterlife. " This notion constitutes denial of present and immediate salvation.
