Young people and those just beginning the study of Christian Science may be grateful and willing to acknowledge the efficacy of God's healing power when physical discomforts have been terminated, but they may feel that to begin to put into practice all the truths taught in Christian Science will cause them to walk a restricted, narrow path, one that will perhaps cause them to lose their present companions. Standing firm and abiding by the rules learned in the study of Christian Science may seem difficult because of the human desire to be loved, to be considered a good sport, or possibly because of the fear of being ridiculed or of being left out of social gatherings which from the point of view of the individual it seems necessary that he attend.

In discussing the experience the soldier was facing, the practitioner said to him, "Go wherever your duty calls you and do whatever is humanly necessary, but wherever you are—on a transport, in a bomber, during the midst of a battle—never enter into the illusion that hating, or any other evil, is real.
Every Christian Science treatment and every logical conclusion in the teaching of Christian Science is based on the fact stated so clearly by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 262 ): "Divine Mind is the only cause or Principle of existence.
Christian Science teaches that true abundance characterizes the universal, indivisible ever-presence of God, good. Such abundance is spiritual.
Every clear and correct statement of eternal truth is a powerful statement. All of eternal truth is in and of God and manifests His power.
The spiritual facts of being are a present reality. Man's immortality and spirituality are actual because of his likeness to God.
