Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

IF we are convinced that the spiritual method of healing is easy, this assurance will aid us in handling error successfully. If we believe that Christian Science is hard to demonstrate, our first consideration should be to overcome this erroneous belief through consecrated mental work.
ON the first page of "Rudimental Divine Science" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discover and Founder of Christian Science, asks the question, "How would you define Christian Science?" And the answer follows: "As the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony. " Science is defined, in one sense, as "knowledge which has been systematized and formulated with reference to the discovery of general truths or the operation of general laws.

IN his inspiring letter to the Galatians, in referring to their "adoption of sons," Paul said, "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. " At that time the Galatian converts to Christianity were being subjected to certain influences designed to turn them from the stirring and inspired teaching of the apostle.
Mary Baker Eddy gives mankind a spiritual rule for right progress when she says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 6 ), "The talents He gives we must improve;" and ( p.
Everyone desires to attain true satisfaction; and did not the Psalmist point the way when he said, "I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness"? The progressive unfoldment of spiritual understanding brings increasing satisfaction, because it reveals the true spiritual selfhood, which cannot know dissatisfaction. Discord and suffering have no abiding place in Truth, and seem to exist only to so-called mortal consciousness or a false sense of self; and when this is laid off by the recognition of the real man, the only place where error could claim to exist has been destroyed.
The words of God to Moses, "I am the Lord: and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty," show that early in the history of religion all power was revealed as belonging to God. It is likewise true that besides the term "Almighty" as a name for Deity, the Bible refers to God as infinite.
" The Christian Scientist has enlisted to lessen evil, disease, and death; and he will overcome them by understanding their nothingness and the allness of God, or good," writes Mrs. Eddy on page 450 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Of the ten lepers who were cleansed, only one returned to give thanks. Surely, the other nine must have been grateful for the healing of that dread disease, though they neglected to give glory to God or to express their gratitude to Jesus.
How reassuring is Mrs. Eddy's promise that refuge and protection are to be found in the understanding of Spirit! She tells us that this is where we must find our help, for she has written ( Miscellaneous Writings, p.
