Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

Feeding the Flock

At the significant morning meal on the Galilean seaside, so graphically recorded in the twenty-first chapter of John's Gospel, Christ Jesus three times commanded Peter to feed his flock—his lambs and his sheep. It is possible that Peter had this in mind when he later urged his fellow workers, "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

Resurrection Through Forgiveness

Christ Jesus threw wide the door to the realization of immortality when from the cross he prayed God to forgive all who had taken part in his crucifixion. Indeed his physical resurrection may be looked upon as merely the outward appearance of the mental resurrection that was expressed in his forgiveness.

Intelligence Is Substance

One of the most noteworthy passages in the Bible is the first verse of the eleventh chapter of Hebrews. There the author of this remarkable Epistle writes: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Spirit, Not Matter, Is Substance

In considering what is and what is not substance, it would be helpful to determine what we mean by substance. Substance is usually considered to be the essential part, or essence, of a thing.

A branch in Japan

The Mother Church is like a great tree with many sturdy branches and many beautiful leaves. It matters little how far outstretched a branch or leaf may be, it grows out from the tree and the tree supports it.

The Book of Amos and Its Message of Judgment

One of the most significant points of Amos' teaching is his stress upon the necessity of righteousness and justice. His book has been described as constituting "a cry for justice.

"Nothing can I lack"

The first chapter of Genesis gives the true record of the creation of man as God's likeness, the perfect handiwork of the eternal and only creator, and this record is a vivid history of man's changeless status of spiritual harmony, dominion, and completeness. Many people can testify to the fact that as they have come to understand this true Scriptural concept of being and have accepted it for themselves, discord in their experience has been dissipated and they have demonstrated the availability of spiritual sustenance.
