An increasing momentum of support for Healing Goal "As we were driving home from the Healing Goal Meeting in Portland, Oregon, my husband and I realized the meeting had fully inspired us to better support our branch church. We also adopted the Healing Goal and its sub-goals for both our individual and our family's work in Christian Science.
The Sunday School, as we all know, is fully governed and protected by Mrs. Eddy's provisions in the Manual of The Mother Church.

Three churches with new edifices Building a new church gives church members plenty of opportunities to grow spiritually. Members of First Church, Joliet, Illinois; First Church, Mountain View, California; and First Church, Hoylake, Cheshire, England, will gladly testify to that! Each membership, while building its new edifice, had certain challenges and problems to meet.
Parents and Teachers Together What a benefit it would be if all our Sunday Schools, and the parents of all the pupils in them, were working closely together, the parents aware of what the teachers were teaching, the results they were trying for, the problems they were surmounting—and vice versa! This can happen, and to a very welcome extent it is already happening throughout our movement. Through home visits, parent-teacher meetings, Sunday School open-house events, and in other ways, it is coming about; and the indications are that each individual involved is being greatly blessed.
Theme: Spirituality—The Need of Today Sub-theme: Healing resistance to spirituality — the healing that begins with ourselves This year's Annual Meeting is concerned with mankind's great need for spirituality. Here is an outline of the program.
Most Sunday School teachers have asked themselves at one time or another, "How can I cover all the things young people should know about God and the Bible and Christian Science in a series of short sessions one hour each week?" One answer is, You don't have to. Why confine this spiritual educational course to only one hour on Sunday? A teacher can encourage pupils to go right on learning during the week through the use of inspired home assignments.
