Let me, dear God, more patient be, For patient work expresseth Thee. Each trial, each tear, each humble task Is progress' proof.

Not in the tumult of the world, The way of life we win; Not through the clamor of self-will, The happy entering in. We know Thy presence only when All human strife is stilled; We hear Thy voice and joy to find Thy praise in us fulfilled.
There was a time I dared not pray, Thy will be done in me today, For fear Thy will might not agree With what I thought was best for me, Or that some ill it might include, To test my love and fortitude; But since to me has been revealed The light of Truth, so long concealed, No longer do I fear to pray, Thy will be done in me today.
When anxious thoughts like dark birds seem To cross my evening sky, I know they are but phantoms grim, And lift my thoughts on high. And with the dawn, forebodings cease, Truth shines upon my way — The truth that calms and gives me peace, And blesses me each day.

There is a voice so gentle, calm, and still, That quiets human fear and human will; The noise of many waters ne'er can quench The still, small voice of Love's omnipotence. When I am tempted from the path to stray It whispers, "Trust in God — He knows the way!" Anger, remorse, revenge yield to His will, And all is sweet, and calm, and fresh, and still! Ah! no disturbance, passion, fear, nor strife, Can interfere with all-harmonious Life.
" Let not your heart be troubled. " I can sing As free as any bird that's on the wing.
Love one another! This is the signpost at the road of peace, A pleasant path where love goes all the way. It is a road that error cannot find Or much less travel.
