Poems

I ONLY KNOW

From the July 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I know not what today will bring;
I only know that I shall sing
My praises unto Thee.

I know not what my hands must do;
I only know they will be true
To every task from Thee.

I know not where my feet will go;
It matters not or fast or slow,
But as Thou sendest me.

I know not where the path will lead;
I only know that I shall heed
The "still small voice"' from Thee.

I know not how the day will end;
I only know Thou art my Friend
And I shall rest in Thee.
