Testimonies of Healing

With heartfelt thanks I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and what it has done for me. In the early part of the year 1913, severe pains were experienced in my legs and feet, which increased until they became unbearable.

I wish to express my gratitude for the many benefits I have received through Christian Science. For a great many years I had been a sufferer from gallstones, until ultimately for ten weeks I was unable to eat anything except in liquid form.

In the month of April, 1915, two eminent doctors, after examining me under an anæsthetic, urged an immediate operation for the removal of two internal growths, one of which was of a fibroid nature. I had been through several operations, the last of which was performed by a well-known London specialist, who at the conclusion warned my husband against permitting another operation, saying my heart would not stand the strain again.

Christian Scientists in every portion of the globe are, each day, understanding more of the glorious Principle that is ever present and operative in healing all sin and disease. It was the understanding, in a small measure, of this divine Principle that healed me of tubercular bone disease of seven years' standing.

While visiting my mother, my boy was taken ill with infantile paralysis. Owing to the fact that this epidemic was very pronounced and some of the physicians had stated it was useless to call them and I had been interested in Christian Science for only about two months, I was very much alarmed when the boy came home from school ill, with all of the symptoms, including a high fever.

Last year, when going at a high rate of speed on roller skates, I fell, seriously injuring my leg, which proved to be fractured. An X-ray picture showed that the shin had two large cracks lengthwise, also one crosswise at the ankle.

It gives me great pleasure to give the testimony of my healing of a very severe attack of pneumonia. I had not been feeling well for some time, though had not called for the help of a Christian Science practitioner, as I had previously been able to do my own Science work.

It is with gratitude to God and our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I offer the following testimony of physical healings.

A number of years ago I contracted a contagious skin disease, which was very annoying, and so tenacious that I found it necessary to ask for help from a Christian Science practitioner. The help was lovingly and faithfully given, and the disease was overcome.
