
Testimonies of Healing
Some years ago when my wife and I were expecting our first child, my wife was, according to medical opinion, in a higher-risk group because of her age. But as we prayed before the birth, we never doubted that God was, is, and always will be the only Father-Mother, the one creator.
I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunities my husband and I have had to serve the Christian Science movement actively for the past twenty-five years. In 1965 a major newspaper article about Christian Science caused us to want to be personally involved in the work of the Church.
How very grateful I am that my mother relied on Christian Science treatment for me after scarlet fever had been diagnosed by a doctor from the health department. I recall the surprise of the doctor, who, after examining me again the following morning, told my mother I was completely healed.
Because I have received so much inspiration and comfort over the years from the articles and testimonies appearing in the Christian Science periodicals, I wish to express my gratitude by sharing the following healings. One day I was studying some passages in Science and Health by Mrs.

Having attended a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, off and on for many years, I intended to join the Church—someday. But the question in my mind was always whether there would be enough time to fulfill all of the obligations of church membership.

One day I received a call from the riding stable where our daughters took lessons. The caller said that one of our daughters, Suzanne, had fallen off her horse; I could come quickly or meet the ambulance at the hospital.
