Testimonies of Healing

During my childhood and teenage years I attended a Protestant Sunday School and church regularly. While I appreciated the Bible study and training I received there, my searching questions about God and man's existence were not answered satisfactorily.

A few years after I was married, several serious physical disorders developed. A rash that I'd had since birth (noted during pregnancy as eczema) intensified to a nearly unbearable condition requiring bandages.

When our children were young, I had a painful back condition. At times it was very uncomfortable to sit or straighten up.

I am led to put pen to paper because I want to actively express my gratitude for finding Christian Science. I hope that by writing my story I will help another who may be full of questions and feel uncertain about life.

When my daughter was ten months old, she developed eczema over her entire body. Three times she was admitted to a hospital, and she continued under medical care for many months but without any relief.

From my early childhood I was sick a lot, and I went to doctors a lot, and I had a lot of childhood diseases. And as I grew older, into my early teens, the condition just seemed to get worse, to the point where I was under almost constant antibiotic treatment for various infectious diseases.

At one time I was suffering from a severe and persistent illness diagnosed as undulant fever by our family physician. I also had an ulcer, colitis, and lifelong anemia, for which I was being treated medically.

My mother passed on when I was an infant, and my father also passed away when I was still at a tender age. Relatives took care of me, but things were rugged as I was growing up.

When our son was about two years old he began to have symptoms of what I suspected was leukemia. I was familiar with these symptoms because I had known two children with this disease.

I am deeply grateful for Christian Science. I was raised in this Science but fell away from its teachings during my teens.
