Testimonies of Healing
Time is past due for me to express again my deep gratitude for Christian Science and its healing efficacy. Previously published testimonies of mine have related many healing experiences.
I was raised in Christian Science, and my early years were happy and healthy. When our older daughter was in kindergarten, however, we faced a great challenge.
Christian Science has been in our family since the early 1900s. What a wonderful privilege it has been for me to have these teachings all my life.
My husband and I were looking forward to eating out one Friday night. But by dinner time I was ill—dizzy, nauseated, and I had a headache.
On a recent Friday night, when my wife was away in another state and I was spending the weekend in another city, I received a call from our teenage daughter. She was at a service station located at a busy intersection in the city where we live, and she was upset and afraid.
What a blessing it was to grow up in a home where we were taught to turn to God for all our needs! I loved to read the Bible and to learn about how people relied on God in the face of great challenges. I knew from the teachings of Christ Jesus that healing is a natural result of understanding God.
I am grateful for the experience of Christian Science Sunday School from an early age; also, that I was able to join The Mother Church and a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, while still a teenager. After going to college, I regularly attended the local branch church and joined the Christian Science organization at the university.
I am grateful for healings over the past years; some small and others of more consequence. Three come to mind.
Having grown up attending a Christian Science Sunday School, I naturally turned to prayer for healing in all aspects of my life. When I left my native Argentina to come to the United States to attend college, I joined The Mother Church and had Christian Science class instruction.
It gives me great pleasure to confirm the testimony by Dionne Moretti Remec. I was one of the leaders on the trip to East Africa, and am well acquainted with the incidents which she relates.
