I should like to express my deep gratitude for Mrs. Eddy by attesting to the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
While I was a young girl in my teens, I suffered from an internal disorder which caused hemorrhaging at frequent intervals. I became seriously interested in Christian Science, enrolled in the Sunday School, and experienced several quick, clear-cut healings of colds, toothache, and so on.
Sometimes the newcomer to Christian Science becomes discouraged and fears his understanding is inadequate for his needs, and it is with the desire to encourage the beginner that I give this account of my early experiences in this Science. About forty years ago my husband and I moved our family to a new city and rented a house across the street from a Church of Christ, Scientist.
My previous testimony appeared in the Journal , October, 1949, and I feel the time has come to testify once more to the healing power of Christian Science. The continued blessing of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, together with yearly association meetings, is a source of great joy.
At an establishment where I was employed there was a man who had only one leg. He had sustained an injury to the other leg, and it had been amputated after gangrene had set in.
Christian Science has been a blessing in each and every aspect of my life. It has introduced harmony into my home by teaching me the true sense of home as the divine consciousness in which man dwells.
Through the study and practice of Christian Science I have found life is joyful and satisfying. Knowledge of the eternal revelation of the facts of Spirit has brought into my experience a continuous, natural, and orderly flow of good.
