Testimonies of Healing

Having been reared in Christian Science and having had the great privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School from the time I was two, I have seen many wonderful proofs of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God. I should like to express gratitude for all the good that has come into my experience through a growing understanding of the allness of God, good, and particularly for a healing I experienced several years ago.

I have always been grateful for my first healings in Christian Science, which were all instantaneous. I had always studied and loved the Bible.

That the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus has come to this age through Mrs. Eddy's revelation of Christian Science, or divine Science, I have no doubt.

A kindly neighbor invited my sister and me to accompany him to Christian Science church services on Sunday morning. This was our first introduction to Christian Science.

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" ( Ps. 107:2 ).

The power of Truth, applied through Christian Science, was demonstrated in negotiations for a new labor contract. The committee representing the factory workers and a committee representing management met sixty days before the contract expired.

For many years the teachings of Christian Science have brought me great happiness and a fuller understanding of my relationship to God. My introduction to Science came through a neighbor who I could see had something that enriched her life.

When I was in my early teens, I was introduced to Christian Science by the instantaneous healing of my cousin, who had for several years suffered severe pains in his legs caused by a condition which no doctor was able to help. In the more than twenty-five years since then Christian Science has more than lived up to its initial promise.

My introduction to Christian Science was through the periodicals, in particular the Christian Science Sentinel . I was a member of another faith, but my wife and her immediate family had become interested in Christian Science and attended Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
