Testimonies of Healing

My deep gratitude for the inspiration and help I have received from testimonies published in our periodicals impels me to add my own. I had been searching for a better understanding of God for many years but without success, although I constantly prayed for the health and happiness I seemed to lack.

I am grateful for Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

It is time that I gave Christian Science the glory due its name. The allness of God that it teaches has been proved repeatedly in my experience.

I was a young girl when I first heard of Christian Science from an aunt who sent the textbook, Science and Health  by Mrs. Eddy, to my father, her brother.

The testimonies of healing and enlightened thought appearing in our periodicals have helped and encouraged me over many years. I have thought that someday I would have a wonderful experience to share.

One week before starting an Army para-troop training course I severely sprained my ankle. And I was to be required to engage in continual jumping activity for a month.

I have been blessed with having had Christian Science as my religion all my life, but when I found I was expecting a child, I was also quickened with an insatiable hunger and thirst for a greater understanding of Science. For the next year and a half nearly every spare minute was spent searching and studying, and I was rewarded.

Mrs. Eddy states toward the bottom of page 167 of Science and Health, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized.

My introduction to Christian Science came while I was attending a teachers college. One of my subjects was music, and the custom of the Christian Science Society in the town was to call the music department at the college when a need arose for someone to serve as soloist.

It is my heart's desire to speak of an experience that occurred in the recent past. Since taking up the study of Christian Science with increased devotion, I have witnessed many beautiful evidences of God's healing power in cases of sickness, manifestations of supply, and in the removal of other constraints.
