Testimonies of Healing

I always had a deep desire to be able to follow the Master's example. While I was not at first aware of it, the answer to my desire came during the early part of World War I, when two Christian Science women from Canada were guests in our home in England.

How grateful I am to have been raised in a Christian Science family and to have learned at an early age to trust God with each detail of my life! Christian Science has doubled in meaning for me since my marriage and the birth of our three children. My husband is an Air Force officer, and with each new assignment we have always been able to establish a complete sense of home.

I was only a child when my parents embraced Christian Science wholeheartedly. Even then I was searching for answers to my questions, especially about the Trinity, questions Mrs.

During the depression years, as I was growing up, lack was a common problem of the world and fully accepted by most people; but I noticed that Christian Scientists escaped this problem to a marked degree, so I vowed I would study Christian Science thoroughly and thus gain the material pleasures of this life which I so desired and which had always been denied me. When I started studying Christian Science in earnest, it was in gratitude to God for a healing of our oldest son, which was recorded in a testimony in the Christian Science Sentinel in 1955. At that time my husband and I were having marital troubles and I was very unhappy.

My deep gratitude for the inspiration and help I have received from testimonies published in our periodicals impels me to add my own. I had been searching for a better understanding of God for many years but without success, although I constantly prayed for the health and happiness I seemed to lack.

I am grateful for Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

It is time that I gave Christian Science the glory due its name. The allness of God that it teaches has been proved repeatedly in my experience.

I was a young girl when I first heard of Christian Science from an aunt who sent the textbook, Science and Health  by Mrs. Eddy, to my father, her brother.

The testimonies of healing and enlightened thought appearing in our periodicals have helped and encouraged me over many years. I have thought that someday I would have a wonderful experience to share.
