Christian Science was introduced to our family when doctors had given up all hope of my mother's recovery from a stomach ailment. Due to her healing through Christian Science treatment, she had thirty-eight more active and fruitful years.
Words cannot fully express my gratitude for our religion. We have had numerous physical healings in our family, and sorrow has been overcome. My husband, while in the Navy, experienced complete protection when he was engaged in advanced harbor clearance, ship salvage, and underwater demolition during World War II and the Korean War. Always our Father went before him to prepare the way.
I should like to relate an experience I had a few years ago when a little dog, wagging his tail, came up to me and then rolled over on his back, as if inviting me to scratch his chest. Since I love all animals, I reached down to pet him. He was unbelievably quick in biting the palm of my hand. The bite left a large opening. He was a stranger to me and ran quickly up the street. I washed my hand with water only and bandaged it. Not knowing the dog, I was unable to report the name and address of the owner as the law requires.
