God, Good, the Only Cause

From the January 1969 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is recorded in the first chapter of Genesis that God created man in His own perfect likeness, that He made all there is and pronounced it good. He maintains His creation in perpetual concord. As we understand these facts, we can come to know the nature of God as good, the only cause. Despite these verities, some individuals unacquainted with God's beneficent nature look upon Him as wrathful and vengeful, vexing His own good creation with dire, afflictive conditions.

For the past century Christian Science, which is the discovery of the reality of Truth and the unreality of error, has been lovingly encouraging men to know Truth, to know God, to love Him and see Him as He really is, including in Himself all harmony. This understanding brings manifold blessings to each of us.

Thousands upon thousands of receptive thinkers have found and are finding release from calamities and discords. They are experiencing increase of harmony in their lives in proportion to their understanding that omnipotence, the only cause, cannot produce malevolent effects and never tolerates or supports impotent error but with His omnipresence heals all untoward conditions.
