Testimonies of Healing

As both an undergraduate and a graduate student at a large university, I was able to prove consistently that God, divine Mind, is the source of all intelligence and that His image and likeness, man, expresses the divine intelligence. During examination time I was able to prove repeatedly and conclusively that when we prepare our work with thoroughness and then listen quietly and calmly for God's angel messages and guidance, the correct answers will be immediately forthcoming right when we need them.

Christian Science heals the sick. It healed me of cancer in the last stages over thirty-five years ago.

Christian Science came into my life in 1932, when I was a very young girl. My father had attended a Christian Science Sunday School for a few years as a boy and during that time had memorized "the scientific statement of being" ( Science and Health by Mrs.

In my late teens I commenced to question if I really had learned to rely upon God or if I was inclined to rely upon my mother, who was a Christian Science practitioner. Later on an accident occurred that gave me the answer to this perplexing question.

Although I was greatly in need of healing, both physical and mental, my desire for a satisfying church home was the impelling force which led me into Christian Science. Activity in a Protestant church had not met my basic need, whereas joyous participation in branch church activities and membership in The Mother Church provide a fully satisfied experience.

I must express gratitude for Christian Science, the reason for the joy and peacefulness I feel these days. During my college years I strayed from the teachings of my loving and devoted Christian Science parents and my Christian Science Sunday School teachers to the extent that I took up smoking and occasional social drinking.

There are so many aspects of Christian Science healing that it would take many pages indeed for me to cover those which have affected my life in the past several years. Through an increased understanding of God and man's true relationship to Him, I have been blessed with improved health, more harmonious family relationships, the return of lost articles, guidance in starting a new business and finding a new home, as well as protection from a raging forest fire.

A healing that stands out to me was that of a chest condition which was never diagnosed. I had help from a Christian Science practitioner and received periodic relief, but the condition kept recurring.

I'll always be so thankful that I was led to enroll our son and daughter in the Christian Science Sunday School at a very early age and that I attended church regularly, studying along with them so that we could understand and demonstrate together God's divine purpose. For many years I struggled with the false appetite for tobacco.

Several years ago, while serving with the Armed Forces in Korea, I experienced overwhelming proof of the power of Truth in dispelling the claims of error. Early one morning I awoke to find my body covered with a severe skin irritation.
