That the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus has come to this age through Mrs. Eddy's revelation of Christian Science, or divine Science, I have no doubt. To say that I am grateful for this Science does not begin to express my deep love for its teaching. I have learned of the allness of God, omnipotent good, and His creation, man and the universe, and the consequent nothingness of God's opposite, error, or the belief of life and intelligence in matter. Total reliance on Christian Science was the rule in my immediate family. Among our healing experiences was the straightening of my teeth through my mother's prayerful work.
My love of Christian Science and acknowledgment of its many blessings early prompted me to join The Mother Church, and this membership has provided me with great strength in endeavoring to adhere to the high standards of conduct required for spiritual growth.
In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read (p. 369), "In proportion as matter loses to human sense all entity as man, in that proportion does man become its master." The following experiences provided the opportunity for me to get to understand this statement as I never had before.
