Testimonies of Healing

There are so many aspects of Christian Science healing that it would take many pages indeed for me to cover those which have affected my life in the past several years. Through an increased understanding of God and man's true relationship to Him, I have been blessed with improved health, more harmonious family relationships, the return of lost articles, guidance in starting a new business and finding a new home, as well as protection from a raging forest fire.

A healing that stands out to me was that of a chest condition which was never diagnosed. I had help from a Christian Science practitioner and received periodic relief, but the condition kept recurring.

I'll always be so thankful that I was led to enroll our son and daughter in the Christian Science Sunday School at a very early age and that I attended church regularly, studying along with them so that we could understand and demonstrate together God's divine purpose. For many years I struggled with the false appetite for tobacco.

Several years ago, while serving with the Armed Forces in Korea, I experienced overwhelming proof of the power of Truth in dispelling the claims of error. Early one morning I awoke to find my body covered with a severe skin irritation.

Christian Science was first brought to my notice when, as a young girl, I was quickly freed from a severe attack of migraine through the prayerful help of a sister, who at that time was a new student of Science. This healing was to me very wonderful because I used to suffer for several days with each attack.

Several years after the birth of our first child she began to suffer from rather frequent attacks of tonsillitis. I had an apathetic attitude toward Christian Science at this particular time and was not applying the truth to the situation very effectively.

"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. " These encouraging words on page vii of the Preface to the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

Christian Science has been an ever-present help to me in many ways—physical, moral, and financial. In expressing my gratitude, I should like to tell of a physical healing.

I suffered from paralysis and deformity all my life until a few years ago. I was told that the day following my birth the entire right side of my body became paralyzed.

Even in earth's darkest moments and places the Christ is present, demanding ( Mark 4:39 ), "Peace, be still. " It is through letting go of material sense that we find the way out of the human into the divine.
