Through the study and practice of Christian Science I have found life is joyful and satisfying. Knowledge of the eternal revelation of the facts of Spirit has brought into my experience a continuous, natural, and orderly flow of good. What a contrast to my early beginnings!
During the depression of 1933, I had many problems: no money, no credit, no position; and I was the sole support of three children under the age of five. In the fall of that year it came to me to call a relative who I knew was a Christian Scientist. She directed me to a Christian Science practitioner.
The magnanimity, the charity, and the steadfastness of the practitioner were hard for me to understand. I had no means, yet she shared her time, her love, and her vast comprehension. I began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and I continued reading because I found its logic interesting, sensible, and satisfying.
