I wish to express my gratitude for the healing power of Christian Science. In April, 1936, when I decided to try this Science for healing, I did not realize that I should also find a wonderful religion.

After visiting a physician and being told by him that I should have an operation because of a severe hernia, I crossed the street to a Christian Science practitioner's office. I told the kind woman who greeted me that I had had this hernia for several years and that the doctor had told me I should have an operation.
In 1918 my testimony was published in the Journal . It told of my healing, through Christian Science, of cancer after I had endured two operations and the doctor had declared that a third one was necessary.
I owe to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, gratitude which words cannot express, and I gratefully acknowledge all that Christian Science has done for me. Through my application of the truths it teaches, many physical ailments have yielded instantaneously; others have been slow in yielding.

Thirteen years ago my husband and I went on a walking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. On the third day we were forced to discontinue the trip because of a stiffness which developed in my knees, an ailment, as I have since learned, that is common to hikers.
