
Testimonies of Healing
" O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him" ( Ps. 34:8 ).
From childhood I had an earnest desire to know God better. I strove to be meek, humble, and forgiving, always wishing to be obedient.
This testimony is given in joyous thanksgiving, with the desire to bear witness to the fact that Christian Science is the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus. My introduction to this Science came about eighteen years ago, when I was healed instantaneously of heart trouble while reading the chapter entitled "Prayer" in Science and Health by Mrs.
With a grateful heart I want to give thanks through our periodicals for Christian Science. I also want to express my gratitude to God, the Giver of all good, for revealing the Christ, Truth, to Mrs.
My life has been greatly blessed by Christian Science. I had studied this Science for only a few months when headaches, constipation, and the need for wearing glasses, as well as unhappiness, vanished.
In 1929 I was confused as to where to send our three young children to church or Sunday School. My husband and I were of two opposite faiths.
I feel that it is my duty to write this testimony and express my thankfulness for the teachings of Christian Science. Many years ago my doctor told me that if I did not have a very critical operation there was little chance of my living a fortnight.
It is with much gratitude I give this testimony of what Christian Science means to me. I know there is no problem too great or too small to be worked out by the realization that man is perfect, made in the image of God.
A few years ago I had difficulty in hearing. Unless I sat well towards the front of the church I could hear little that was read from the desk.
