Putting on record insights into the practice of Christian Science.

THE LABORER IN THE HARVEST

Christ Jesus once recommended a prayer which every follower of his should humbly consider. He was about to send the seventy on a healing mission, and he said to them ( Luke 10:2 ), "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

TODAY'S VAIN CRY, "O BAAL, HEAR US"!

Elijah , the prophet, once chided the people of Israel ( I Kings 18:21 ), "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. " He then challenged Baal's prophets to call upon their gods, and he would call upon the Lord, his God, to demonstrate in the eyes of the people which one was supreme, God or Baal.

THE RIGHT THINKER

A Sign found in many business offices reads, "Think. " Mary Baker Eddy tells us that right thinking is the basis for success in the practice of Christian Science.

"IF IT PLEASE THE COURT"

IN the orderly presentation of evidence and arguments before a court of law, counsel for the parties may, on occasions, be heard to say, when asking for some privilege or concession, "If it please the court. " This sign of respect evidences the acknowledgment of judicial authority which attaches to the office.

OMNIPRESENCE

PROGRESS looses mankind from localization, because it looses them from localized thinking. This is noted in the ease with which men now move about the earth and above it, eliminating time and space in a certain sense.

THE MISSION OF CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS

THE Annual Meeting of The Mother Church assembles this year at a critical period in the history of the world, yet one filled with unlimited opportunities for blessing mankind. Great is the challenge to every member of the Church to examine himself —his motives and desires—to see whether or not he is practicing his religion consistently.

TRUE DEFINITIONS

By her discovery of the Science of Christianity, Mary Baker Eddy brought to mankind true definitions of God, man, law, the universe. To her spiritualized thought, God interpreted Himself as demonstrable Principle, not inaccessible, but ever present.

THE ANSWER TO LAWLESSNESS

Christian Science stands in this age as God's law of goodness, perfection, and harmony. It constitutes the complete answer to all that is contrary to God, good, to all that is lawless.

THE ACT WHICH CROWNS CHRISTIANITY

On the night of his betrayal in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus placed himself completely in God's care; and he was, therefore, prepared to meet the ordeal of the experience on the cross that mankind might profit from his example. Those who passed Jesus by when he was crucified, including the chief priests, scribes, and elders, mocked and reviled him.

DESIGNED TO PROCLAIM TRUTH

Isaiah , foretelling the coming of the Messiah, attributes to him this message ( 61:1, 2 ): "He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. " Today Christian Science presents to humanity the same Christ message thus foretold and is proving its value through the healing of the sick and the sinner.
