THE RIGHT THINKER

From the June 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A Sign found in many business offices reads, "Think." Mary Baker Eddy tells us that right thinking is the basis for success in the practice of Christian Science.

This Science teaches us to distinguish between right thoughts and erroneous thoughts by ascertaining where they originate, whether in God, divine Mind, or in the carnal or sensuous mind. If thoughts lead to the contemplation of a material universe and a mortal man, they are counterfeits to be abandoned; if they testify to the truth that God is Spirit and His creation is spiritual, such thoughts are genuine and enduring and lead to the enjoyment of health, happiness, success, and immortality.

Right thinking in its highest sense is righteous thinking, spiritually scientific thinking, which results in the purification of thought and desire. It lifts one into the kingdom of heaven, the consciousness of man's eternal unity with God, divine Love.
