Testimonies of Healing

I am glad to tell my experience in Christian Science, but the benefits received are without number and I can only give a small portion. I had been a semiinvalid for over twenty years, for several months had only been able to walk to and from my bed to a chair, and at times I suffered intensely.

" Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. " So sang the psalmist more than nineteen hundred years ago, and today from every quarter of the globe come songs of thanksgiving from those who have sought and found the truth which sets free, the truth that was meant for all time.

I am very grateful for the privilege of telling others of the benefits that have come to me through Christian Science. As a child I had a sense of discouragement and depression which I never seemed able to throw off for any length of time.

With the hope that my experience may be of help to others afflicted as I was, I desire to tell of my healing through Christian Science. In the fall of 1901 I noticed a swelling on my left breast.

Over nine years ago there came into my life a light which has never been extinguished. It was the light of hope, and it came through a dear uncle who had been healed in Christian Science.

For nine years I was an invalid, suffering from an intestinal disorder and many complications. We were residing in Kansas City at the time, and in 1896 I had a friend who was healed of the same disease by Christian Science treatment; she was most enthusiastic over it, and insisted upon my giving it a trial.

Each day I feel more grateful for the blessings God bestows upon me through Christian Science. About three years ago I became interested in Christian Science through friends who had been healed.

My attention was drawn to Christian Science through the wonderful healing of dear relatives. An aunt was healed by it of a spinal disease of eight years' standing, although a specialist had told her that it was a very severe case and beyond cure.

I deem it a duty to add my testimony to those of the many thousands who have been healed from suffering and disease by Christian Science. In the summer of 1906 I was taken with symptoms which indicated a serious affection of the lungs.

The above testimony of my wife is true in every respect, and I must add that I also have experienced great relief from nervous and bowel trouble since we took up Christian Science, for all of which I am sincerely thankful. G.
