Testimonies of Healing
In loving gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, I give my testimony. About five years ago I was healed of serious lung trouble.
I wish to give thanks from a heart overflowing with gratitude and love to God, who through Christian Science has met me—as divine Love always will meet—and restored my health. For five years I suffered from sleeplessness in its worst form, and only by taking opiates was I able to obtain any satisfactory sleep.
In the hope that my experience with Christian Science will help and encourage some one. and with the deepest feeling of gratitude, I give the following testimony.
WE wish to express heartfelt thanks to God for the wonderful healing, through the Christ-Science, of our beloved and only child, nine years of age. On Sunday, May 8, 1910, about six o'clock, while playing on the third floor of the unfinished high school building, she lost her footing and fell to the concrete floor below.
I give this testimony with the hope that it may aid and encourage some one afflicted as I was and in need of the assurance that "with God all things are possible. " Some years ago, Christian Science was brought to my notice through the interest manifested by my wife and the benefits she received therefrom, which were many.
The blessings and peace of mind which have come to me through Christian Science are too many to leave untold, and it is with a feeling of unbounded gratitude that I give this testimony, hoping it may be the means of leading others into the truth and bringing them happiness. I was led into Science; first by seeing my good wife transformed from a physical wreck into perfect health, and second by receiving immediate relief myself from what seemed to be serious afflictions.
I would be robbing others as well as myself were I to keep silent longer regarding the blessings which I have received through Christian Science. Over ten years ago my husband became afflicted with a malignant disease on the right leg.
While reading recently the testimonies of healing in the Sentinel, the words of Mrs. Eddy came to me, that if we do not acknowledge the benefits received we are not ready for new blessings.
I long to express my gratitude for the great blessings received in Christian Science. After much suffering I was sent in the spring of 1910 to Switzerland to get rid of a cough which was exceedingly painful to me, also an internal trouble from which I.
To the glory of God, and with the hope that it may help others who are weary and heavy laden, I gladly testify to the blessings I have received from Christian Science. During the summer of 1908, after many years of anxiety and various illnesses, my health completely broke down, and general debility, heart trouble, and nervous collapse found me utterly helpless and hopeless and praying that death would end my suffering.
