Testimonies of Healing
For about six years I was subject to very severe pains in my head. These attacks were frequent and I was often confined to my bed from one to two weeks.
On Christmas day, 1904, my physician told me it was no use to send for him any more, that he had done everything that medical science could suggest and that nothing seemed to do me any good. After he left me I wrote to an aunt in Ohio and asked her to have her Christian Science friends pray for me, and that as soon as I could travel I would come to her.
I gladly give my testimony as to what Christian Science has done for me. I came to it for physical healing; little thinking what divine Love had in store for me.
I had been in poor health for fourteen years, gradually growing worse, and for the last six years of that time was a great sufferer. My case was differently diagnosed by every physician.
After having been under the care of different physicians for several years, I was healed by Christian Science, in less than a week, of what the physicians had called abnormal growths. I had been under the constant care of a physician for four months, most of the time in bed.
Seven years ago Christian Science found me in a serious mental and physical condition. My nervous system seemed to be completely upset, while I was also suffering from organic difficulties.
Fourteen years ago I met with an accident which caused me to lose the use of my right limb, and for two years I was unable to walk. At the time of this accident I was living in Callaway, Neb.
After nine years of investigation, critical analysis application and demonstration of Christian Science, I wish to humbly express my gratitude for its wonderful revelation of Truth. When my attention was first called to this subject by a friend who had received help, I attended some lectures, then bought a copy of the text-book and read it with what I supposed was understanding.
For a long time I have felt that I must give my testimony and tell what God in His goodness has done for me. When I was a child nine years old I had an illness which left me with spinal trouble.
In 1896 I met with an accident in which my left arm was severely injured. A surgeon set the joint, but it did not stay in place.
