Testimonies of Healing

I desire to express openly my gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Mary Baker G.

Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God; but he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. " The above significant words of Jesus, coupled with those from Science and Health, p.

I lived for several years with a copy of Science and Health in my home, without ever opening its covers, although my parents were interested in Christian Science. During a part of this time I was in a town where a Christian Science church is located and where services are held regularly, but before taking treatment I had attended only two Christian Science services.

During the past six years the greatest peace, joy, and hope has entered my consciousness through the understanding of Christ, Truth, as revealed through our beloved Leader. I cannot express my gratitude; it is deeper than any words can convey.

I would like to state briefly my own experience as evidence that Christian Science healing is permanent. I was afflicted for sixteen years with many maladies, so much so that life was indeed a burden.

Our Leader, speaking of Jesus' disciples says, "When they were fit to be blest, they received the blessing" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 212 ).

Having had innumerable proofs of the accuracy of Christian Science, it is almost impossible to approach the subject without being tempted to write indefinitely. Words but faintly express my gratitude to God for the illumination of the Bible that has come to me through the writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker G.

I do not believe I ever experienced a well day in my life until I was healed through Christian Science. I have had almost every disease that flesh is heir to, and at times was confined to my bed for weeks.

It is with deep gratitude to God, that I send my testimony. This Christ healing came to me over four years ago when I was most wonderfully restored to health, after having suffered many years from several chronic diseases.

It has been several years since I first began to understand and demonstrate the teachings of Christian Science, and each year my gratitude increases, for having found the truth about God and man, and that this truth can be proved, that it is applicable to all my needs—moral, mental, physical, and spiritual. My needs have been many, and many times I have been almost overwhelmed with error's suggestions and physical manifestations; but God's word has been all-powerful to destroy them, and has proved to me that these evils are nothing.
